Seven Weeks Old Already

Time has really flown by and we can't believe that Caroline is already seven weeks old! And she is changing by the minute. Her face is starting to fill out and she's developing a serious case of soccer thighs...is it too early to get those college scouts out here?! Mommy and Caroline are really enjoying their days together now that we are home alone during the day. We sleep late, take lots of walks and talk the day away. Caroline is starting to make lots of little noises. Lots of cooing, in addition to the occasional crying fits of course. She definitely has a preference to being held. We are trying to break the habit of picking her up as soon as she starts crying (Grandma Boyer says we are spoiling her), but her crying face melts Mommy and Daddy's hearts, so we can't resist. This is a learning experience for all of us! Caroline is starting to look around and focus on things around her as well. She loves to stare and smile at the teddy bear mobile on her playpen, a small frog toy (we call it her friend Mr. Frog) and strangely enough the ceiling fan in the family room (even when it isn't turned on). It's amazing how quickly babies' senses develop. Caroline definitely knows when one of us is in the room and turns her head to look for us. She even seems to focus on the computer screen when we have video chats with the grandparents in Texas and Pennsylvania and can hear that someone is talking to her. It's amazing!
